For individuals on a constant quest for discovery and adventure, In Good Taste has curated a collection of eight distinct wines, each with its own inspiration and character. The California Wine Mixer offers a range of flavors and experiences, inviting wine lovers to embark on a journey of taste and exploration.

The inspiration behind the California Wine Mixer stems from In Good Taste's mission to help people discover the world through wine. Each wine in the variety pack carries a unique name and story. Fortune Favors represents bold varietals, embodying the saying "fortune favors the bold." La Pluma, meaning "pen" and "feather" in Spanish, signifies lighter flavors and encourages individuals to "write their own story." Stealing Thunder symbolizes the power and intensity of these wines, while Balance of Powers represents a harmonious balance of flavors.

What sets the California Wine Mixer apart is its emphasis on accessibility and convenience. Packaged in individual 187 mL bottles, each wine offers a perfect serving size for a glass. This format eliminates the risk of wasting a whole bottle after opening and allows wine enthusiasts to taste and try different varietals without committing to a full bottle. Whether it's a new wine varietal or a comparison between different flavors, the variety pack provides a platform for exploration and discovery.

The design of the California Wine Mixer labels was a creative and technical challenge. In Good Taste wanted the labels to embody the characteristics of each wine while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic for the variety pack. Additionally, the labels had to be durable and resistant to moisture, ensuring they would not peel off easily when wet and would wrap seamlessly around the bottle.

Designed by Joseph Welch, the California Wine Mixer project started in July 2019 and was completed in March 2020 in Los Angeles. Welch's attention to detail and commitment to creating a unique wine experience shines through in the final product.

The California Wine Mixer has been recognized for its excellence in packaging design, receiving the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in 2021. This accolade celebrates the innovative and resourceful nature of the design, showcasing its technical and creative prowess.
